Position Description

Experienced Veterinary Technician

Queenstown Veterinary Hospital on Maryland's Eastern Shore is seeking a veterinary technician with a minimum of three years of experience in a small animal practice setting. The successful candidate will have excellent skills in the following:

• Verbal and written communication with hospital staff and clients
• Accurate recordkeeping
• Attention to detail
• Restraining cats and dogs for services
• Preparing vaccines and slides for appointments
• Dispensing medications
• Maintaining lab equipment
• Administering medication to cats and dogs
• Medical terminology
• Computer and email
• Patience and compassion

Experience in surgery and anesthesia monitoring is a plus, but not required. Must be able to lift heavy pets. Some Saturdays required.
